Gauntlet Week is here! Things are looking great and we’ve been working hard to make this a great time for you all. A couple of things for Saturday:

FACILITY LAYOUT:
GAUNTLETIVLAYDOWN

1) Shitters are outside. NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO USE INDOOR RESTROOMS. Not risking a plumbing apocalypse with 80 athletes (especially savage females) and a couple hundred spectators. We will have 3 Scotty Pottys to accommodate your nervous bowels.
2) PARKING – We can use the lot behind the building. First come, first served. After that, use the side streets or try Main St and/or Community Action lots.
3) BLOCKED OFF – 3rd St in front of the gym is blocked off. This is for you! Bring your canopies and chairs. This will be your primary hangout location
4) FOOD: Garage Cafe is a block up the street and they’ve got you covered with a 15% discount.


4) WARMUP – the normal gym parking lot will be your area for warming up. We will have rowers, airdyne, and mobility tools. NOTE – we will not have any extra bars/bumpers for you to warmup with.

HEATS:

JUDGES/VOLUNTEERS:

Report at 0800 for briefing and assignments.

GENERAL RULES:
1) Have fun!
2) Don’t be a dousche. This is a celebration of the CrossFit community and how it’s grown locally. The reason it has grown is because of the community, specifically the athletes, judges, and volunteers. We will not tolerate any bitching or complaining towards the judges. They’re not professional umpires, they are volunteers donating their time for you. If there’s a mistake/error see myself or the head judge and we’ll get is squared away.
3) Go crazy. This is your time to go nuts. Cheer, scream, be awesome. You get 3 events, leave it all on the floor.
4) Finals: we will take the top 4 men and women to the finals. The finals is winner take all. Your placing on the finals workout determines the overall winners.

BEER!
Immediately after the competition. Port City Pub will be the host for the official after party. There’s a free keg of Fat Tire waiting on you.
